Rifles

SKS

The SKS is a Russian semi-automatic carbine with a ten-round box magazine that is fed from a stripper clip. It was widely exported and produced by the former Eastern Bloc nations.

AK-47

Inarguably the most widley proliferated and well known automatic rifle in the world, the AK-47 has been in use around the globe since 1949. Its cheap price, ease of use, and reliability making it hugely popular among irregular forces and conventional militaries alike. Its power and limited accuracy make it most effective in short to medium-range encounters.

AK-101

The AK-101 is a "new generation" Kalashnikov rifle, providing several improvements over the AK-74 series. It has slight accuracy advantages over other AK series rifles, while still retaining the reliability and ruggedness of the older AK series.

AK-101 with GP-30

The AK-101 is a "new generation" Kalashnikov rifle, providing several improvements over the AK-74 series. It has slight accuracy advantages over other AK series rifles, while still retaining the reliability and ruggedness of the older AK series. The GP-30 fires special 40 mm fragmentation grenades capable of putting down accurate fire up to 300m away.

Support Weapons

PKM

The PKM is a gas-operated, belt-fed general purpose machine gun (GPMG). Although heavy in size, it can offer powerful and accurate support fire for ground soldiers at ranges up to 1000m meters. It is available in limited numbers to insurgent forces.

Sub-Machine Guns

PPsh41

One of the most mass produced weapons of World War II, the PPsh41 was developed as an inexpensive alternative to the PPD-40, which was expensive and time consuming to build.

PP19 Bizon

A submachine gun developed by IZMASH OJSC, the Bizon is based on the AK-74 and AK-100 series of assault rifles. The Bizon uses a helical magazine, similar to the type used in the American Calico 960 submachine gun. The 64-round magazine mounts under the foregrip, positioned in line with the barrel.

Precision Rifles

Dragunov SVD

The SVD was designed to offer medium-range precision fire for regular infantry squads, extending their effective combat range -- making the rifle one of the first examples of a designated marksman's weapon. For insurgent forces, it was originally used to hunt animals, but is now used to hunt the enemy. While not as accurate as a bolt-action rifle, its semi-automatic fire capability allows for fast engagement of multiple targets, and quick "second shots" in the event that the first misses or does not kill the target.

Heavy Weapons

RPG-7V

The RPG-7 is a widely popular anti-tank grenade launcher used world-over by conventional and irregular military units. It is cheap and easily available, and although its effectiveness against modern tanks is arguable, it is accurate over fairly long ranges and is capable of considerable damage to armored targets. It remains a strong threat to infantry and vehicles alike.

SA-7 GRAIL

The SA-7 is shoulder-fired, man-portable air-defence system (MANPADS), capable of guided surface-to-air missile (SAM) fire. It is used to eliminate various airborne targets, although helicopter engagements are most common due to their slow movement compared to jets.
